Terms and Conditions

These Terms govern your use of BarLock, the barlock.app website, and related support services. BarLock is provided by CODE IN MOTION SRL, a company based in Romania.

By using BarLock, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website. You may use BarLock only if you can legally accept these Terms.

BarLock lets you set iOS alarms that require scanning a chosen barcode or QR code. It is a productivity utility, not an emergency alert system, medical device, safety device, childcare tool, or guaranteed wake-up service. Use backup alarms or other safeguards when missing an alarm could create risk.

BarLock depends on iOS permissions and device settings. AlarmKit, camera access, notification settings, Focus modes, device power, network state, and iOS behavior may affect whether an alarm rings, whether scanning works, or whether a mission can be completed.

• Keep your device charged and configured so alarms, notifications, and scanning can work.
• Choose scan targets that are safe, available, and appropriate for your routine.
• Do not rely on BarLock as your only alarm for travel, medical, childcare, employment, safety, or emergency obligations.
• Do not misuse BarLock, interfere with it, reverse engineer it where prohibited by law, or use it unlawfully.

BarLock may offer paid features such as Lifetime Pro. App Store purchases are handled by Apple, including payment processing, refunds, purchase records, and purchase confirmation.

We may use App Store entitlement status to unlock paid features. Feature availability and limits may change as BarLock develops. If Lifetime Pro access does not work as expected, contact us.

BarLock, including its design, code, interface, brand, copy, artwork, icons, and other content, is owned by the Company or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of BarLock to you.

We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use BarLock for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms and App Store rules.

If you send ideas, feedback, bug reports, or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation, unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

BarLock may link to or depend on third-party services, including Apple platform services, hosting providers, or support tools. We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, policies, or availability.

We may suspend or terminate access to BarLock if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create security risks, or if required by law. You may stop using BarLock at any time by deleting the app.

BarLock is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, error-free operation, and guaranteed alarm performance.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CODE IN MOTION SRL will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including missed alarms, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, personal inconvenience, or reliance on BarLock as a sole alert system.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to EUR 100, unless applicable law requires a different result.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, excluding conflict of law rules. Your use of BarLock may also be subject to other local, national, or international laws. If you are an EU consumer, these Terms do not limit mandatory rights under the law of the country where you live. Before starting a formal dispute, you agree to try to resolve the issue by contacting us.

We may update these Terms as BarLock changes. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice before it takes effect. Continued use of BarLock after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
